hite spirit (solvent 402) or mineral spirits, also known as mineral turpentine, turpentine substitute, petroleum spirits, solvent naphtha (petroleum), varsol, Stoddard solvent, or, generically, “paint thinner”, is a petroleum-derived clear liquid used as a common organic solvent in painting and decorating.
Application
White spirit gets factional of kerosene and is used mainly as a solvent in the paint industry. It is used as a solvent of some rubbers, fatty alkyds of epoxy, often used in the production and reception of diluted oil-based varnishes.
Its Application allows to significantly reduce the consumption of paints or exerting any influence on the quality of the coating.
